About Zohri 200mg/5ml Drop

Zohri 200mg/5ml Drop is an antibiotic medication commonly prescribed for children to treat a variety of bacterial infections affecting different parts of the body such as the ear, eyes, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and gastrointestinal tract. This medication works by inhibiting the growth of the bacteria causing the infection and preventing their multiplication, ultimately halting the spread of the infection.

It is recommended to administer Zohri 200mg/5ml Drop once a day, preferably in the morning. In cases of typhoid, the dosage is to be given twice a day. The medication can be taken with or without food at approximately the same time each day, although giving it with food is ideal to avoid stomach upset, considering children often have sensitive stomachs.

The dosage of Zohri 200mg/5ml Drop is determined based on the type and severity of the infection, as well as the child’s age and body weight. It is crucial to adhere strictly to the prescribed dose, timing, and method of administration as directed by the doctor. If the child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medication, the same dose should be administered again.

While your child may begin to feel improvement within a couple of days of consistent dosing, it is imperative to complete the full prescribed course of the medicine. Abruptly stopping the medication can worsen the condition or increase the risk of reinfection. Some common, temporary side effects of Zohri 200mg/5ml Drop may include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and stomach pain. These side effects typically diminish as the child's body adjusts to the medication. However, if the side effects persist or become concerning, it is essential to consult your child’s doctor promptly.

It is important to inform your child's doctor about any prior allergies, heart conditions, liver problems, or kidney issues. A comprehensive understanding of your child’s medical history is crucial for making necessary adjustments to the dosage and planning the overall treatment effectively.
