About Zhylo 50mg Dry Syrup

Zhylo 50mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used to treat various bacterial infections in children. These infections can affect different parts of the body such as the ear, eyes, nose, throat, lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. It can also be effective in treating uncomplicated typhoid fever in children and adolescents.

For optimal absorption, it is recommended to administer Zhylo 50mg Dry Syrup one hour before or two hours after meals. However, if your child experiences stomach upset, giving the medicine with meals may be preferred. The dosage and duration of treatment should be as prescribed by the doctor, and it varies based on the type and severity of the infection. If the child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, the same dose can be given again, but do not double the dose if it's close to the next scheduled dose.

Avoid giving this medicine to your child for cold and flu symptoms, as these are usually caused by viruses which antibiotics cannot treat. It is typically prescribed for cough and cold only if there is an underlying secondary bacterial infection detected by the doctor.

Zhylo 50mg Dry Syrup may cause minor and temporary side effects like vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and allergies. These side effects usually subside as the body adjusts to the medicine. If the side effects persist or become troublesome for your child, it is important to inform the doctor promptly.

It is essential to provide the child's complete medical history to the doctor, including any allergies, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomalies, gastrointestinal issues, skin disorders, liver impairments, and kidney malfunctions. This information is crucial for determining the appropriate dosage and planning the overall treatment for your child.
