About Thyroup 12.5 Tablet

Thyroup 12.5 Tablet is a synthetic thyroid hormone used to treat hypothyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough hormone, resulting in metabolism and energy regulation issues. This tablet contains thyroxine, a synthetic hormone similar to the one naturally produced by the thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism can cause symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, and feeling cold. If you experience such symptoms, a blood test called a thyroid function test is done to check your hormone levels. If diagnosed with hypothyroidism, your doctor will prescribe Thyroup 12.5 Tablet based on your weight and test results.

It's important to take Thyroup 12.5 Tablet regularly as prescribed by your doctor on an empty stomach before your first meal of the day. Overdosing may lead to side effects such as headache, nervousness, and weight loss. It may take some weeks for the medicine to show full effects, and regular monitoring is advised. Also, do not double dose if you miss a dose to avoid serious side effects. This medicine should not be used for weight loss purposes alone, and calcium or vitamin D supplements may be recommended for bone health.

Thyroup 12.5 Tablet is not suitable for individuals with certain conditions like untreated hyperthyroidism or adrenal insufficiency. For patients with coronary heart disease or hypertension, caution is advised when using this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women can use Thyroup 12.5 Tablet but may need dose adjustments and should consult their doctor. Common side effects include changes in appetite, weight variations, headache, and mood swings. If these side effects worsen, it's important to consult your doctor.
