About Scabigo Cream

Scabigo Cream is an antiparasitic medication used to treat scabies, a skin condition caused by tiny insects infesting and irritating the skin. The cream works by killing the mites and their eggs that cause scabies. It belongs to the class of pyrethroids and is effective in treating infections caused by lice, mites, and eggs. Pediculosis, the infestation of lice in hairy parts of the body, and scabies are the main conditions treated by Scabigo Cream.

To use Scabigo Cream effectively, follow the instructions provided by your doctor and those that come with the medicine. Ensure your skin is clean, dry, and cool before applying the cream. Most individuals only need to use it once to treat their condition, but a second application may be necessary after at least 7 days if instructed by your healthcare provider. It is important to wash your body thoroughly 8-14 hours after applying the cream. Itching may persist for a few weeks after treatment, which is usually an allergic reaction to the dead mites and not a sign of treatment failure.

Common side effects of Scabigo Cream include mild burning, stinging, or tingling sensations at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and not experienced by everyone. Before using Scabigo Cream, inform your doctor of any skin conditions, allergies to medicines or substances, or if you have asthma. While the cream is generally considered safe, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should seek advice from their doctor before using it.

Scabigo Cream 60 gm contains Permethrin, an antiparasitic drug that effectively kills mites and their eggs causing scabies. It also targets head lice, which can cause irritation and discomfort. The cream is designed for external use only, and individuals allergic to Permethrin, chrysanthemums, or any components present in the cream should not use it. Children under six years of age, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers should consult a healthcare professional before using Permethrin. Keeping the infected area clean and dry before application is essential for the cream to work effectively.
