About Samivio Tablet

Samivio Tablet is a medication used to treat liver disease that is linked to reduced bile formation, a condition known as intrahepatic cholestasis. It works by safeguarding the liver cells from harmful toxins, enabling the liver to carry out its normal functions effectively.

You can take Samivio Tablet either with or without food, and the prescribed dosage will be determined based on the severity of your condition and your body weight. Ideally, the tablet should be swallowed whole, but if necessary, it can be split to ensure the correct dosage. Consistency is key with this medication, so it is vital to take it regularly for an extended period, possibly several months or more, to reap its full benefits. Even if your symptoms improve, follow the prescribed regimen diligently.

Samivio Tablet may lead to some common side effects like headaches, dizziness, vomiting, upset stomach, diarrhea, constipation, increased sweating, and insomnia. However, not everyone experiences these side effects. If you encounter them and they persist or cause concern, it is advisable to inform your doctor. In case of severe diarrhea, it may be necessary to adjust the dosage or discontinue the treatment. Hydration is essential in managing severe diarrhea and constipation.

Prior to initiating treatment with Samivio Tablet, inform your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. This medication has the potential to impact the effectiveness of other medications, so disclose all drugs you are currently taking to your doctor. It is advisable to abstain from consuming alcohol while on this medication as it could exacerbate side effects.
