About Rosulip-F 5 Tablet
Rosulip-F 5 Tablet is an effective combination of two lipid-lowering medicines, Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate. It is prescribed to lower levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when lifestyle changes alone are not sufficient. By reducing lipid levels, this medication helps decrease the risk of heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular events in the future.
You can take Rosulip-F 5 Tablet with or without food, at any time of day, preferably at the same time each day to help with consistency. The dosage will be determined by your doctor based on your lipid levels and response to the treatment. It is crucial to continue taking the medication as prescribed, even if you do not feel any symptoms, as stopping it abruptly may raise your lipid levels and increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.
Regular monitoring of cholesterol and triglyceride levels through lipid profile tests is essential. In addition to taking Rosulip-F 5 Tablet, following a healthy low-fat diet, engaging in regular exercise, quitting smoking, moderating alcohol intake, and maintaining a healthy weight are vital components of the treatment plan. While taking the medication, it is recommended to avoid foods high in fat.
Common side effects of Rosulip-F 5 Tablet may include nausea, stomach pain, constipation, headache, flatulence, and muscle pain. These side effects are typically mild and temporary. However, if they persist or if you experience any alarming symptoms such as yellowing of the eyes, unusual bleeding/bruising, or severe muscle pains, consult your doctor promptly. Liver function tests may also be advised periodically while on this medication.
It is important to note that Rosulip-F 5 Tablet should not be used in certain conditions like liver disease. Before starting the medication, inform your doctor if you have kidney issues, are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, breastfeeding, diabetic, or have a history of muscle disorders. Diabetic patients should monitor their blood sugar levels regularly while taking this medication to prevent any potential increases in blood sugar levels.
