About Pulmokast L Suspension
Pulmokast L Suspension is a commonly prescribed medicine for children to manage allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It is also helpful in treating asthma and skin allergies. It is important to give this medicine to your child at a specific time either before or after food, in the exact prescribed dose, time, and manner. When dealing with asthma, it is recommended to administer Pulmokast L Suspension in the evening or 2 hours prior to any physical activity. For allergies, the optimal timing for giving the medicine is either in the morning or evening, based on when the symptoms usually start. In cases where your child has both asthma and allergies, it is preferable to administer the medicine in the evening.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, it is advisable to administer the same dose again, unless it is nearly time for the next dose. While your child may start feeling better after a few doses, it is crucial to complete the full prescribed course to attain the maximum benefit. Abruptly stopping the medication could worsen your child’s condition. Pulmokast L Suspension might cause some minor and temporary side effects like vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, and headache. Typically, these side effects diminish as your child's body adjusts to the medication. However, if these effects persist or become bothersome, it is important to consult your child’s doctor promptly.
Inform your child's doctor about any other medications your child is currently taking. Additionally, provide a detailed medical history of your child, including any previous instances of allergy, heart issues, blood disorders, vascular disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung abnormalities, skin disorders, liver problems, and kidney issues. This information is crucial for determining any necessary adjustments in dosage and planning the overall treatment for your child.
