About Myolaxin-D Gel

Myolaxin-D Gel is a muscle relaxant medication that contains a combination of active ingredients including Methyl Salicylate, Capsaicin (derived from oleoresin Capsicum), Menthol, Eucalyptus oil, Camphor oil, and Diclofenac Sodium. These components work synergistically to alleviate pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strains, sprains, arthritis, and low back pain.

Diclofenac Sodium, a key ingredient in Myolaxin-D Gel, acts by inhibiting the enzyme Cyclo-oxygenase, which in turn enhances the uptake of Arachidonic Acid into the phospholipid pool. This process effectively hinders the production of Prostaglandin, Leukotriene, and Prostacycline, reducing pain and inflammation by limiting the availability of Arachidonic Acid. The essential oils of Eucalyptus, Methyl Salicylate, and Racemethol contribute to the product's warming sensation through their rubefacient and counter-irritant properties.

Musculoskeletal pain conditions such as knee joint pain, neck pain, arthritic pain, and low back pain can be effectively managed with the application of Myolaxin-D Gel. The gel is designed for external use and should be applied by hand, gently massaging it into the affected area and the surrounding tissues until absorption. It is recommended to repeat this treatment two to three times a day for optimal results.

While using Myolaxin-D Gel, it is common to observe redness on the skin due to increased blood circulation in the targeted area. This gel should be used under medical supervision to ensure safe and effective application. The combination of active ingredients in Myolaxin-D Gel, including Diclofenac, Capsaicin, Methyl Salicylate, Eucalyptus oil, Camphor, and Menthol, collectively work to relieve pain and inflammation associated with various musculoskeletal conditions.

It is important to follow the prescribed duration of Myolaxin-D Gel usage as recommended by your healthcare provider, as prolonged use may increase the risk of certain side effects. Common side effects may include itching, irritation, redness, and burning sensation at the application site, which typically resolve on their own over time. Individuals with recent heart surgery, stomach ulcers, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult their doctor before using Myolaxin-D Gel, as it may pose certain risks in these circumstances.

Additionally, caution should be taken to avoid excessive sunlight exposure while using Myolaxin-D Gel, as it may cause a burning sensation on the skin. It is advisable not to combine Myolaxin-D Gel with other NSAIDs for pain relief unless specifically prescribed by a healthcare professional. Children are not recommended to use Myolaxin-D Gel due to limited information on its safety and efficacy in this age group.
