About Maxofen Tablet

Maxofen Tablet is a pain-relieving medication commonly used to treat various conditions such as headache, fever, period pain, toothache, colds, and mild arthritis. It is also a key ingredient in many cold and flu remedies. It is essential to take Maxofen Tablet with food to prevent stomach upset and minimize side effects. The recommended approach is to use the smallest effective dose for the shortest necessary time to control symptoms. Consistent use is crucial, and missing doses can reduce the effectiveness of the medication over time. While generally well-tolerated, Maxofen Tablet may lead to side effects like vomiting, stomach pain, nausea, and indigestion in some individuals. If these side effects persist or worsen, it is advisable to seek medical advice from your doctor.

Maxofen Plus Tablet, classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), belongs to the painkiller category. It is effective in relieving muscle pain, arthritis pain, dysmenorrhea (painful periods or menstrual cramps), dental pain, and reducing fever. Pain can be categorized as acute, resulting from short-term tissue damage, or chronic, lasting for an extended period due to conditions like nerve damage or osteoarthritis. Maxofen Plus Tablet consists of two active ingredients, Ibuprofen and Paracetamol, which work together to alleviate mild to moderate pain. Ibuprofen blocks the action of prostaglandin, a chemical responsible for pain and inflammation, while Paracetamol acts as a mild analgesic and fever reducer. This combination provides effective pain relief in a shorter duration.

Maxofen Plus Tablet is available in both oral tablet and syrup forms. The syrup should be taken with food or as directed by a healthcare professional, while the tablet should be swallowed whole with water and not crushed or broken. It is crucial not to exceed the recommended duration of use for pain or fever. If side effects like chest tightness, breathing difficulties, fever, skin rashes, increased heart rate, or signs of hypersensitivity occur, discontinue use and seek medical help. Individuals allergic to painkillers like aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or diclofenac should avoid Maxofen Plus Tablet. This medication is not suitable for children, individuals with liver disease, heart conditions, or gastric ulcers/bleeding problems. There is a slight increase in the risk of heart attack associated with Maxofen Plus Tablet, and alcohol consumption should be avoided to prevent liver damage and increased side effects. Consult a healthcare provider if pain, inflammation, or fever symptoms persist beyond the advised duration.
