About Maxicef O Dry Syrup

Maxicef O Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used to treat various bacterial infections in children, such as ear, eye, nose, throat, lung, skin, gastrointestinal, and urinary tract infections. It works by preventing the bacteria from growing further. To ensure optimal absorption, it is recommended to administer Maxicef O Dry Syrup to your child one hour before or two hours after meals. However, if your child experiences stomach upset, giving it with food is advised.

It is crucial to follow the prescribed dose, timing, and method as directed by your doctor. The dosage is typically determined based on the type and severity of the infection. In case your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the syrup, the same dose can be repeated, but it is essential not to double the dose if it is close to the next scheduled dose.

Despite its effectiveness, Maxicef O Dry Syrup may cause some mild side effects, including vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and a mild skin rash. These side effects are usually temporary and tend to resolve on their own. However, if these effects persist or become troublesome for your child, it is advisable to consult your child’s doctor promptly.

Before administering Maxicef O Dry Syrup to your child, it is important to inform the doctor about any history of allergies, heart diseases, blood disorders, birth defects, airway blockages, lung disorders, digestive issues, skin conditions, liver problems, or kidney dysfunction. Providing your child’s complete medical background will assist the doctor in determining the most suitable dosage and formulating an effective treatment plan.
