About Igurati 25mg Tablet
Igurati 25mg Tablet, also known as Igurati 25 Tablet 10's, is a medication belonging to the group of medicines called disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) primarily used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its tissues, leading to joint pain and damage. The disease is characterized by joint inflammation (synovitis), progressive bone destruction, and loss of joint function.
This medicine contains 'Iguratimod', which works by inhibiting the production of immunoglobulins and inflammatory cytokines, as well as inhibiting osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption while stimulating bone metabolism. Igurati 25mg Tablet provides relief from pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2, an enzyme responsible for causing pain and inflammation in the body.
When taking Igurati 25mg Tablet, it is recommended to follow your doctor's prescribed regimen diligently, even if symptoms improve. It can be taken with or without food, and it's crucial to maintain adequate hydration to prevent the formation of kidney stones. Common side effects of this medication may include stomach pain, dizziness, headache, itchiness, nausea, and vomiting. While these side effects usually subside over time, persistent symptoms should be reported to your doctor for proper guidance.
To ensure the safety and effectiveness of Igurati 25mg Tablet, inform your doctor about any existing heart, kidney, or liver conditions. Also, disclose all other medications you are currently taking to avoid potential drug interactions. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before initiating treatment with this medication. Additionally, caution is advised while driving, as Igurati 25mg Tablet may cause dizziness. Limited information is available regarding the use of this medicine in children, so consult a healthcare provider if you have any concerns regarding its usage in pediatric patients. Stay proactive in discussing your health status with your doctor to address any potential side effects and ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
