About Dicka XP Tablet

Dicka XP Tablet is a medication that contains a combination of two medicines, diclofenac and serratiopeptidase. It is primarily used to reduce pain and inflammation in various conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, muscle pain, back pain, toothache, and pain in the ear and throat. This tablet belongs to the class of drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Diclofenac, one of the active ingredients in Dicka XP Tablet, works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger called cyclo-oxygenase (COX), which is responsible for causing pain and swelling at injured or damaged tissues. Serratiopeptidase, the other component, is a proteolytic enzyme that aids in breaking down insoluble proteins like fibrin, a by-product of blood clots, into smaller units. This enzyme also helps in reducing fluid buildup and promoting smoother fluid drainage in swollen tissues.

It is important to take Dicka XP Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage will vary depending on the condition being treated and how well the medication alleviates your symptoms. The tablet can be taken with or without food, and it should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It is advised not to chew, bite, or break the tablet.

Like any medication, Dicka XP Tablet may cause side effects. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhea, and loss of appetite. If any of these side effects become bothersome or worsen, it is essential to consult your doctor. Patients with a history of stomach ulcers, bleeding, high blood pressure, or issues with the heart, kidneys, or liver should inform their doctor before taking this medication. It is also important to disclose all other medicines being taken, as they may interact with Dicka XP Tablet.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before initiating treatment with Dicka XP Tablet. Additionally, it is advised to avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medicine, as alcohol can lead to excessive drowsiness. It is crucial not to exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment with Dicka XP Tablet and to refrain from discontinuing the medication without consulting a healthcare professional.
