About Deriphyllin BM Expectorant

Deriphyllin BM Expectorant is a medication used to treat cough with mucus by loosening and thinning the mucus in the nose, windpipe, and lungs. This helps in making it easier to cough out the mucus. Additionally, it relaxes and widens the muscles in the airways, making breathing easier. The medicine is typically taken as per the doctor's advice, with or without food, and the dosage depends on the individual's condition and response to the treatment. It is important to continue taking the medication for the duration recommended by the doctor to prevent symptoms from returning or the condition worsening.

The 100 ml Deriphyllin BM Expectorant contains a combination of three drugs - Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, and Terbutaline. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic agent by thinning and loosening phlegm in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Guaifenesin, an expectorant, increases fluid volume in the airways, reduces mucus stickiness, and helps remove it from the airways. Terbutaline, a bronchodilator, relaxes muscles and widens the airways to facilitate easier breathing. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage of Deriphyllin BM Expectorant based on your medical condition.

Common side effects of Deriphyllin BM Expectorant may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, skin rash, nervousness, tremor, stomach upset, and fast heartbeats. These side effects are usually temporary and may resolve on their own. However, if they persist or worsen, it is advisable to consult your doctor. Inform your doctor before taking this medication if you are allergic to any of its components, pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical conditions like diabetes, fits, high blood pressure, or kidney, liver, or heart problems.

Deriphyllin BM Expectorant is recommended for the relief of cough associated with conditions such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and emphysema where bronchospasm, mucous plugging, and expectoration issues coexist. It should be used cautiously in pregnant and breastfeeding women, elderly patients, and children after determining the appropriate dosage based on their weight and body mass. Side effects of Deriphyllin BM Expectorant may include tremor, headache, rapid heartbeat, palpitations, muscle spasms, and low plasma potassium levels. If you experience any of these side effects, consult your doctor immediately.
