About Clavam BID Dry Syrup

Clavam BID Dry Syrup is a trusted antibiotic medication that is effective in treating various bacterial infections in different parts of the body such as the ear, nose, throat, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is specially formulated to combat bacteria that have developed resistance to other treatment options, including cases of tuberculosis that are resistant to conventional therapies.

This antibiotic medication is designed to be administered to children either with or without food, preferably with food to enhance absorption and reduce the likelihood of stomach discomfort. The dosage and frequency of administration should be strictly adhered to as prescribed by the doctor, taking into account factors such as the severity of the infection, type of infection, and the child's weight and age. In the event of vomiting within 30 minutes of taking the medication, it is advisable to wait for the child to settle before repeating the dose, without doubling up if it is close to the next scheduled dose.

While Clavam BID Dry Syrup is generally well-tolerated, some common side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and allergic reactions. It is important to monitor these side effects, as they are expected to decrease over time. However, if they persist or become concerning, it is crucial to promptly seek advice from the child's healthcare provider.

Prior to initiating treatment with Clavam BID Dry Syrup, it is essential to provide the doctor with a comprehensive medical history of the child, including any previous allergies, heart conditions, blood disorders, birth defects, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal problems, skin disorders, liver or kidney impairments. This information enables the healthcare provider to make informed decisions regarding the dosage adjustments and overall treatment plan for the child's well-being.
