About Bistas Tablet

Bistas Tablet, also known as Bistas Tablet 8's, is an antiulcer medication used to treat ulcers in the stomach and intestines, as well as to combat Helicobacter pylori infections. These types of infections can lead to peptic ulcers and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where stomach acid flows back into the food pipe. Bistas Tablet 8's contains Tripotassium dicitrato bismuthate, which acts as an ulcer protectant, helps in ulcer healing, and has bactericidal effects against Helicobacter pylori.

When taking Bistas Tablet 8's, it is essential to follow the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. It is recommended to take the tablet at the same time each day to achieve the maximum benefit. Even if your symptoms improve, it is crucial to complete the full course of treatment to prevent the recurrence of the infection. Discontinuing the medication early may result in bacteria surviving and the infection returning.

While Bistas Tablet 8's is generally safe to use, some individuals may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, black feces, mild dizziness, and belching. If these side effects persist or become bothersome, consult your doctor for guidance on managing or reducing them. Before initiating treatment with Bistas Tablet 8's, inform your doctor about any existing kidney or liver issues. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also seek medical advice before using this medication. It is crucial to disclose all other medications you are taking to prevent any potential interactions with Bistas Tablet 8's.

It is worth noting that alcohol consumption should be avoided while using Bistas Tablet 8's as it can increase stomach acid production. Additionally, individuals taking this medication should be cautious while driving, as it may cause dizziness and affect alertness. Bistas Tablet 8's should only be administered to children under a doctor's supervision. Prior consultation with a healthcare provider is recommended for individuals with sensitivity or allergies to the medication, as well as those with liver, kidney, heart diseases, or gastrointestinal problems.
