About Besicor-T 2.5 Tablet
Besicor-T 2.5 Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat hypertension, or high blood pressure, in adults. This medication works by relaxing the blood vessels and improving the heart's efficiency in pumping blood throughout the body. It is important to take Besicor-T 2.5 Tablet at the same time every day to maintain a consistent level of the medicine in your blood. Even if you feel well, do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor as high blood pressure often shows no symptoms, and discontinuing the medicine abruptly may worsen your condition.
Regular exercise, a healthy diet, and weight management are also recommended to help control your blood pressure while taking Besicor-T 2.5 Tablet. Common side effects of this medication may include headaches, slow heart rate, numbness in extremities, weakness, and changes in blood pressure and potassium levels. It is advised to avoid potassium-rich foods and supplements while on this medication and to be cautious while driving or changing positions to prevent dizziness.
Before taking Besicor-T 2.5 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney issues. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medication. Additionally, it is essential to disclose all other medications you are taking, especially those for high blood pressure or heart conditions, to avoid any potential interactions.
Besicor-T 2.5Mg Tablet also belongs to the angiotensin II receptor blockers group and is used for treating hypertension in adults. It can also lower the risk of heart attack or stroke. High blood pressure, also known as essential hypertension, occurs without a known cause, while heart attacks and strokes are due to blockages in blood flow to the heart or brain.
Besicor-T 2.5Mg Tablet blocks the action of angiotensin II hormone in the body, which causes blood vessel narrowing and leads to high blood pressure. By widening and relaxing the blood vessels, this medication effectively lowers high blood pressure. It can be taken with or without food and should be swallowed whole with water. Possible side effects may include diarrhea, sinus infections, back pain, or low blood pressure, which usually improve over time. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist.
It is important to note that Besicor 2.5 Tablet contains Bisoprolol, a beta-blocker used to treat stable heart failure in combination with other medications. This medication is also indicated for high blood pressure and angina pectoris, a type of chest pain resulting from reduced blood flow to the heart due to coronary artery disease.
Before using BESICOR 2.5 TABLET, inform your doctor about any existing health conditions, such as severe kidney or liver diseases, diabetes, or thyroid disorders. This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women unless deemed necessary, and it is not suitable for children. Common side effects may include tiredness, weakness, dizziness, headache, coldness, or numbness in hands or feet, as well as gastrointestinal symptoms. If these side effects persist, seek your doctor's advice.
