About Amigaba LS Tablet

Amigaba LS Tablet is a combination medication used to manage neuropathic pain, a type of chronic nerve pain caused by damaged sensory nerves. This medicine helps regulate mood and block the transmission of pain signals from nerves to the brain. It is made up of two active ingredients: Gabapentin, an anti-convulsant, and Amitriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant. Gabapentin works by binding to specific sites on calcium channels, easing nerve pain, while Amitriptyline raises serotonin and noradrenaline levels in the brain to halt pain signal movement. Together, Amigaba LS Tablet provides relief from neuropathic pain symptoms such as untriggered pain, burning or stabbing sensations, and difficulty sleeping.

To use Amigaba LS Tablet, take it orally with or without food, preferably at bedtime, following your doctor's dosage and duration recommendations. Consistency in timing helps maintain a steady level of the medicine in your body. Even if you start feeling better, complete the full treatment course prescribed to you. Sudden cessation of the medication without medical consultation can increase seizure risk. Avoid taking antacids with this medication, as they can interfere with its absorption. Some common side effects of Amigaba LS Tablet include constipation, dry mouth, weight gain, dizziness, and drowsiness. It is advisable not to drive or engage in activities requiring mental focus until you understand how the medicine affects you.

Before starting Amigaba LS Tablet, inform your doctor about any kidney or liver conditions you have, as well as other medications you are taking, to ensure its effectiveness and safety. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult their doctor before using this medication. Furthermore, it is essential not to abruptly discontinue Amigaba LS Tablet to avoid increased seizure risk. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver or heart issues, pregnant women (especially in the last months of pregnancy), breastfeeding individuals, children under 18, and should be used cautiously in older adults above 65 years of age. If you experience common side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, muscle pain, nausea, or stomach discomfort, consult your doctor for proper guidance.
