About Rabidoc-D Tablet
Rabidoc-D Tablet is a combination medicine used to relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux), such as heartburn, stomach pain, and irritation. It works by neutralizing acid and promoting the easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort. The tablet is composed of two main active ingredients: Rabeprazole, which helps reduce stomach acid production, and Domperidone, which decreases nausea and vomiting symptoms.
Rabidoc-D Tablet is typically taken without food as per the dosage and duration prescribed by your doctor. The specific dose will vary based on your condition and individual response to the medication. It is important to continue taking the medicine for the recommended duration as stopping treatment prematurely may lead to the return of symptoms and worsening of your condition. Inform your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking to avoid potential interactions.
Common side effects of Rabidoc-D Tablet include diarrhea, stomach pain, dry mouth, headache, flatulence, weakness, dizziness, and sleepiness. These side effects are usually temporary and tend to resolve on their own. However, if you experience any concerning symptoms, contact your doctor promptly. It is advisable to refrain from driving or engaging in activities that require mental focus until you understand how the medicine affects you. Avoid consuming alcohol while on this medication as it can enhance drowsiness.
Before starting Rabidoc-D Tablet, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. The tablet is effective in treating conditions such as hyperacidity, stomach ulcer, and Zollinger Ellison syndrome. It is also used short-term for symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition characterized by stomach acid flowing back into the food pipe, causing heartburn and stomach upset.
Rabidoc-D Tablet should be taken as prescribed, typically an hour before or without a meal, swallowed whole with water. It is advised not to chew, crush, or break the tablet. Some lifestyle modifications, like consuming cold milk and avoiding hot tea, coffee, and spicy foods, can enhance the effectiveness of the medication. Discuss any existing medical conditions, allergies, or upcoming procedures with your doctor before using Rabidoc-D Tablet to ensure safe and optimal treatment.
