About Rozustat F 5 Tablet
Rozustat F 5 Tablet is a medication that combines two lipid-lowering drugs, Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate. It is used to lower elevated levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. High levels of these lipids can increase the risk of heart disease, including heart attack, stroke, and angina (heart-related chest pain), by causing the formation of plaques in the arteries.
Rosuvastatin, a statin, works by reducing the levels of "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while increasing the levels of "good" cholesterol (HDL). It does this by inhibiting the production of cholesterol in the body and enhancing its removal from the blood. Fenofibrate, on the other hand, specifically targets triglycerides in the blood to lower their levels.
It is essential to take Rozustat F 5 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor, either with a meal or on an empty stomach, and at the same time each day to help with consistency. While most side effects of this medication are mild and temporary, such as nausea, stomach pain, and muscle pain, it is crucial to consult your doctor if any symptoms persist or worsen.
Regular monitoring of your cholesterol and triglyceride levels is necessary while taking this medicine. Rozustat F 5 Tablet is just one aspect of a comprehensive treatment plan that should also include a healthy low-fat diet, regular exercise, avoiding smoking and excess alcohol, and maintaining an appropriate weight. It is also essential to inform your doctor about any pre-existing conditions, such as kidney problems, pregnancy, or diabetes, as this may affect your treatment.
Individuals with severe liver or kidney issues should not take Rozustat F 5 Tablet. Additionally, it is not recommended for those experiencing unexplained muscle pains or who have recently used the antibiotic Fusidic acid. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid this medication, and precautions should be taken to prevent pregnancy during treatment. If any concerning symptoms arise, including severe muscle pain or liver problems, it is crucial to seek medical attention promptly.
