It is commonly used for the diagnosis or treatment of absence of uterine contractions during labor, cesarean section , blood loss following childbirth. It has some side effects such as Brain and cns damage,Bradycardia,Abdominal pain,Blood disorders. The salts Ergometrine, Oxytocin are involved in the preparation of Oxymetrin Injection.
