It is commonly used for the diagnosis or treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome, type 2 diabetes mellitus , maturity onset diabetes. It has some side effects such as Abdominal pain,Flatulence,Diarrhoea,Altered sense of taste includes metallic taste. The salts Metformin are involved in the preparation of Metformin Hydrochloride Tablet.
