It is commonly used for the diagnosis or treatment of high blood pressure after severe medical illness , antidote to strychnine poisoning, high blood pressure after heart attack. It has some side effects such as Cns stimulation,Atrioventricular block,Cerebral haemorrhage,Anxiety. The salts Mephentermine are involved in the preparation of Mephentermine Sulphate Injection.
