It is commonly used for the diagnosis or treatment of Constipation, pregnancy associated constipation, muscle spasm in the colon, inflammatory bowel disease, Swollen vein in anus regions. It has some side effects such as Intestinal ostruction, bloating, flautelence, excessive intestinal gas formation. The salts Ispaghula Husk are involved in the preparation of Igol Powder.
