It is commonly used for the diagnosis or treatment of fragility of bones, hormone replace therapy in postmenopausal women , breast cancer. It has some side effects such as Breast cancer,Breakthrough bleeding,Abnormal growth or cancer of the lining of the womb,Blood clots in the veins of the legs or lungs. The salts Estradiol are involved in the preparation of Estraderm Mx Patch.
