It has some side effects such as Hypernatremia,Cytotoxicity on mucous membranes and deep tissue,Conjunctival hyperemia,Anaphylactic reaction. The salts Povidone Iodine are involved in the preparation of Betadine Mouth+Throat Mouth Wash/Gargle.
