It is commonly used for the diagnosis or treatment of anemia due to folic acid deficiency, folate deficiency, increased requirement of folate in the body during pregnancy . It has some side effects such as Bitter taste in the mouth,Bloating,Allergic rejection,Depression. The salts Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 are involved in the preparation of B Folcin Syr Syrup.
