No Mountain Too High: Overcoming Challenges, One Step at a Time

Early Life: A Strong Mother, A Bigger Dream

Growing up in a traditional Punjabi business family in Pune, I was fortunate to have a mother who believed in dreams beyond societal expectations. She had once aspired to to be a dentist but never got the chance. Determined not to let history repeat itself, she ensured her daughters had the freedom to carve their own paths.

The Turning Point

My childhood was filled with achievements—academics, sports, dance, and music. But at 13, my father’s business struggles shook our family, and my grades suffered. My school doubted if I could even clear my 10th exams.

But my mother never gave up on me. With her unwavering support, I turned things around in just a month, passing with 60%. That was my first lesson in resilience—setbacks don’t define you, but how you rise from them does.

Carving My Own Path in Healthcare

I initially pursued dietetics but soon realized it wasn’t for me. Limited opportunities led me to pivot to hospital administration, where I found my true calling.

Starting as an intern at Asian Heart Hospital, I soon found myself handling their International Patient Department—straight out of college! This fast-tracked my confidence, leading me to roles in healthcare operations, marketing, and corporate wellness.

From Struggles to Success: Climbing the Ladder

I never said no to opportunities. I took on retail and corporate marketing, developed revenue strategies, and strengthened relationships with doctors and patients. In corporate wellness, I scaled our annual health checks from 1,500 to over 17,000.

Navigating Personal Challenges & Finding Balance

Life came with its share of unexpected turns. My husband’s health condition required long-term care, and my son needed extra learning support. Balancing personal and professional responsibilities became overwhelming.

During this period, I launched my own textile business—channeling my creativity into something new. I secured contracts with brands like Being Human and Pantaloons, but just as things picked up, COVID-19 changed everything, forcing me to put my venture on hold.

Leading Through Crisis: The COVID-19 Battle

Amidst the pandemic, I took on a government healthcare administrator role, managing 1,500 Covid beds and critical patient care operations. One of the toughest moments was during a storm when we had just 48 hours to evacuate ICU patients. That experience reinforced my belief in resilience, teamwork, and decision-making.

MediBuddy & The Next Chapter

In 2021, an unexpected call changed everything. A former colleague referred me to MediBuddy, and I took a leap of faith. Three years later, I’ve grown into a senior manager, leading teams and making healthcare accessible at scale. The mentorship, ownership, and purpose-driven work here have been invaluable.

As a senior leader, I now focus on mentoring my team and building meaningful careers. But this is just the beginning. I’m excited for new challenges, bigger problem statements, and achieving new milestones.

Choosing Myself: A Journey of Self-Care & Self-Love

For years, I prioritized work, family, and responsibilities—but not myself. The stress took a toll on my health, leading to serious concerns.

Choosing to undergo bariatric surgery changed my life. It wasn’t just about weight loss—it was about reclaiming my health, confidence, and energy. Today, I feel stronger, healthier, and more focused than ever.

Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. You can’t pour from an empty cup.

Lessons from My Journey

Resilience is everything. No matter how hard life hits, you can rise again.
Learn from every challenge. Not just yours, but from others’ experiences too.

What’s Next?

2025 is about financial growth and new challenges. I’m ready to step into bigger leadership roles, push my limits, and continue making a difference.
